9/11, a War OF Terror

September 11th will be the 15th anniversary of the “War on Terror” (WOT) unleashed by President George Bush following an attack on American targets in 2001.

The Media Review Network is appalled that this endless WOT has resulted in the massacre of over 4 million Muslim civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Islam and the Muslim world are being fallaciously portrayed as the single most dangerous threat to global stability today.

The US, NATO and their Allies are responsible, legally and morally, for the deaths of these Muslims. By contrast, the resistance of the patriots, defending their motherland against the crimes of mass murders, terrorism, grand larceny and occupation, is a legitimate and morally justified struggle.

To date, the United Nations has failed to draw up a definition for “terrorism” acceptable to all its members. Today, it is the dominant world powers that determine who is a “terrorist” and, through their control of the corporate media have ensured that the discourse on terrorism will be in their favour.

The failure to define ‘terrorist’ means that the ‘war on terror’ has been used as a cloak to legitimise Western military power against any ideology that challenges America and her allies.
Criminal and tyrannical regimes such as Egypt and Israel have exploited the regional destabilization and climate of fear to bludgeon legitimate resistance movements against their oppressive rule.

The USA foreign policy, with the veiled threat of ‘either you are with us or with the terrorists’, has used the ‘war on terror’ to secure unhindered, unhampered US dominance of the world which would facilitate easy access to oil, strategic locations and defense of the Zionist regime, Israel

The ‘war on terror’ has become a war OF terror, and unless challenged, peace will remain elusive and the world remain a dangerous place for the foreseeable future.
