In light of Israel’s continued aggression and expanding Zionist policies towards Palestinians, a collective of pro-Palestinian organisations want to increase public understanding of current developments in the Middle East. With this in mind, the National Coalition of Palestine (NC4P) will be hosting a workshop on Palestine to keep the awareness on the Israeli-Palestine conflict. The NC4P is a coalition of various Palestine solidarity groups, formed in response to the military onslaught on Gaza in July-August 2014.

The workshop also comes amid increased debate over the boycott of Israeli goods in South Africa called by the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement during this time, as a collective response to Israel’s apartheid policies.  The workshop will take place on Saturday November 15 from 9.30am to 4pm at Community House Salt River.

Some of the focus points of the workshop are:

-The History of Israel’s colonial occupation of Palestine
-The nature of the struggle against Israel.
-What is Zionism?
-One state and Two state solutions
-Solidarity movement and our government’s response
-The BDS Campaign
