3 million e-messages to guide pilgrims

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance will be sending out 3,250,000 short electronic messages in 32 languages to guide pilgrims on the proper way to perform Haj rituals and educate them about religious regulations of Haj and Umrah.

Talal Bin Ahmed Al-Aqeel, the Islamic Affairs minister consultant for Haj and Umrah affairs, said the ministry has also assigned thousands of callers, interpreters to help implement its awareness program.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Post Authority has published a memorial stamp to mark this year’s Haj.

The stamp worth SR2 displays on its back side an enlarged photo of the Grand Mosque and the King Abdullah gate, with the word Haj and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emblem. — SPA
