After a tip-off by the Air Wing of a possible dagga plantation in Endlovini area. Harare police located the property in question and monitored the activities at the location. A 32-year-old man was arrested and detained for illegal cultivation of dagga, after police officials confiscated 274 mature dagga plants during the operation. The suspect is due in the Khayelitsha Magistrates court on Monday.

And in an unrelated issue, a 46-year-old man was arrested yesterday in Table View after police arrested him for being in possession of crystal methamphetamine in Main Road, Parklands.

Police officials received a tip-off about a vehicle that was transporting crystal methamphetamine in the Parklands area. A vehicle matching the description was searched and two bags containing crystal meth were found hidden in a compartment under the steering wheel of the vehicle. It is estimated that the drugs street value is about R15 000.

The suspect will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates court on drug related charges.
