Four people have been arrested for possession of mandrax worth an estimated street value of R2.5 million in Steenberg, Cape Town on Sunday, Western Cape police said.

The men, aged between 32 and 52, were arrested during a search and seizure operation, said Colonel Tembinkosi Kinana.

The group were also found in possession of 14 abalone and 123 crayfish tails.

They are expected to appear in the Steenberg Magistrate’s Court soon. SAPA
