Three people have been shot dead and two others seriously injured when gunmen open fire on a group of people in Leiden, Delft. Police spokesperson, Novela Potelwa, says an unknown number of suspects began shooting late yesterday on the corners of Umvoti and Sabi Streets.

A 22 year-old woman and two men, aged 39 and 28 have died on the scene. The other two injured people have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Brigadier Potelwa says the Anti-gang Unit detectives are probing the triple murder and two attempted murder cases. The incident is believed to be gang related.
