Body found at CTown beach

A man’s body was found in the water at Fish Hoek beach on Friday, Western Cape police said.

Shark spotters discovered the body at 10.20am during routine checks, Captain Frederick van Wyk said.

The police diving unit removed the body. He is white, bald, aged between 55 and 60, and wearing yellow and blue swimming shorts and blue swimming goggles.

Eyewitness News reported his body was attached with cables to a shark net mooring block.

An inquest docket was opened. SAPA
