A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in Valhalla Park, Cape Town, on Sunday afternoon, Western Cape emergency services said.
“A gunshot wound to the head caused the death of a 15-year-old boy in Eleanor Road, Valhalla Park, at 1pm today,” spokesman Robert Daniels said.
“Details surrounding his death are still unclear.”
Western Cape emergency personnel came across the body of the boy inside a house, while tending to a less serious medical emergency in the immediate area.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a 25-year-old man was taken to Tygerberg hospital by provincial emergency services in a critical but stable condition after also suffering a gunshot injury to the head.
“He was shot on the side of Ertjie Boom Road in Delft and his incident appears to be gang related,” Daniels said. SAPA
