Two unidentified men were killed on Monday morning and their burnt bodies left near the Heideveld train station, Western Cape police said.

Officials covered the bodies, next to the station’s foot bridge entrance in Gugulethu, and closed off the scene with crime tape.

The motive for the murders was under investigation, said police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk.

He did not confirm allegations that mob justice was involved. News24
