Cape Town police are appealing to the public to help them locate a five-year-old boy who went missing two days ago.

In a statement on Tuesday, police spokesperson Lieutenant Andre Traut said Okuhle Linganiso disappeared from his Kalkfontein home on Sunday.

Traut said police believe his biological father may have taken the boy, and they could be in the Langa informal settlement.

It is not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

Any person who can shed light on his whereabouts can contact Sergeant Andres Binedell of Kuilsrivier police on 021 900 2845 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
