Collins Chabane, the late minister of public service and administration, will be replaced when the time is right, President Jacob Zuma said on Tuesday.
“That’s the business of government,” he told reporters at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
“There is no time limit in which we have to do this. It will be done at the right time, at the right moment.”
There have been rumours that a Cabinet reshuffle is on the cards.
It has been almost five months since Chabane and two of his bodyguards were killed in a car accident in Limpopo.
The three lost their lives when a truck allegedly made a U-turn in front of their car on the N1 near Polokwane in March.
Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa has been acting minister of public service and administration since Chabane’s death. News24
