FNB Varsity Shield – CPUT Outshines in Round Three

An exciting weekend of Varsity rugby as CPUT outshines in round three of the competition, an incredible victory over Durban University of Technology ( DUT Rhinos), shocking scores of 109-0. A display of talent and speed our top scorers for the day was Imibongo Vabaza (7), Feghon Leigh Snyders (5) and Siyasanga Ngubelanga (4). CPUT’s hooker Siyasanga Ngubelanga had an incredible game as he scores a hat trick bring another top performance and scores to the logs.

Undoubtedly we are looking forward to seeing a competitive Round 4 as we head into the competition. More Scores over the weekend; TUT beats University of Kwazulu Natal ( UKZN Impi ) by 22-3 and the WSU All Blacks clenched a victory over University of Fort Hare Blues ( UFH ) 46-12. The WSU All Blacks and TUT remains unbeaten in the competition

The FNB Varsity Cup will commence on Thursday, 22 April, with five Round 4 matches across two venues: FNB NWU Eagles vs FNB UWC (14:00, Tuks B-Field, DStv Now channel 245), FNB UFS Shimlas vs FNB UCT Ikeys (15:00, Loftus Versfeld, SuperSport Rugby channel 211), FNB Wits vs FNB CUT Ixias (16:00, Tuks B-Field, DStv Now channel 245), FNB Madibaz vs FNB UJ (17:00, Loftus Versfeld, SuperSport Rugby channel 211) and FNB UP-Tuks vs FNB Maties (19:00, Loftus Versfeld, SuperSport Rugby channel 211)

Round 4 matches of the Varsity Shield will continue on Tuesday, 20 April at Loftus Versfeld Stadium: FNB Rhodes vs FNB UFH Blues (15:00, SuperSport Rugby channel 211)
,FNB FNB CPUT vs FNB TUT Vikings (17:00, SuperSport Rugby channel 211), FNB UKZN Impi vs FNB DUT Rhinos (19:00, SuperSport Rugby channel 211) and FNB WSU All Blacks have a Round 4 bye.
