Three Israeli suspects have admitted abducting and burning alive the Palestinian teenager whose murder sparked angry protests two weeks ago, paving way to Israeli’s crackdown on Palestinians and airstrikes on Gaza.

“I don’t have any peace in my heart, even if they captured who they say killed my son,” Mohammed Abu Khdeir’s mother, Suha, told the Independent newspaper on Monday, July 15.

“They need to treat them the way they treat us. They need to demolish their homes and round them up, the way they do it to our children.”

The Jewish suspects confessed beating Abu Khdeir, 16, with an iron tire, setting him on fire while he was still alive before fleeing the scene on July 2, a few hours after kidnapping him.

The criminals, a 29-year old man and two 17 year old males, nabbed the Palestinian teen off the street and dropped him in Jerusalem forest before sitting fire to him.

“On July 2, 2014, the three suspects decided together to kidnap and murder an Arab. They searched for a victim in several Arab neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, finally arriving in Shoafat,” the investigators’ statement was cited by Haaretz newspaper.

“When they saw that the teenager Mohammed Abu Khdeir was alone, they seized him, forced him into their car, beat and stunned him and took him to the Jerusalem Forest.

“There they threw him out of the car, poured gasoline on him, set him on fire and fled.

“During the investigation, the three suspects confessed to the charges against them and re-enacted the events. Moreover, they said their motive was revenge for the kidnapping and murder of the three Jewish teenagers.”

Revenge

The three Israeli criminals admitted killing Abu Khadeir in revenge for the killing of the three Israeli teens last June.

Israeli police announced on Sunday, July 7, that it arrested six suspects in connection with the murder of the Palestinian teen Khdeir.

According to police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld, the three suspects “have admitted to carrying out the murder and have re-enacted the murder.”

“They have admitted they poured petrol on him and burned him alive,” Rosenfeld said.

The confessions of the Israeli criminals have confirmed an earlier Palestinian autopsy reports that showed the teen has been burned alive.

A few days after killing Mohammed Abu Khudair, his 15-year-old cousin was arrested and badly beaten by the Israeli police over participating in protests.

Since the kidnapping of the three teenagers earlier this month, Israeli occupation forces have been storming the West Bank, arresting hundreds of Palestinians.

Though no authority has claimed responsibility for the presumed kidnapping, Israeli media speculated the three may have been kidnapped by Hamas, a charge denied by Hamas.

Israel has been launching relentless airstrikes against Gaza since Tuesday in which more than 170 have been killed and over 100 injured in the tiny coastal strip.

Israel has claimed that its new war on Gaza, under the title Operation Protect Edge, was a response to the rocket attacks being carried out by Hamas. ONISLAM
