With just two days left before the Sunfoil 10km Big Walk, the organising committee will be taking late entries due to an influx of late comers. The organising committee’s Dawood Esack urged participants to register late applications between 5.30pm and 9pm at the College of Cape Town on Friday.

“Last night there was an influx of entries and we looking forward to see it again today. There are still entries for people to enter and we will accommodate everyone, inshallah,” says Essack.

The purpose of the Big Walk is to build community spirit. There will be many prizes to be won for the participants and funds will go to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.

“Get off your chairs and let’s get together as a community and come and support the Big Walk,” says Essack.

This year’s entry fee is R30 and the 10km walk starts at 7.30 am at the Forecourt at Cape Town Stadium along Beach Road, Sea Point Promenade to the end of Sea Point Pavilion parking area, before returning to the finish at the Green Point Athletics Track. VOC (Nailah Cornelissen)
