The Friends of Al Aqsa South Africa in conjunction with Nakhlistan chanced their way through and managed to distribute numerous food parcels in Gaza. The organisations recognise the difficulty of getting into Palestine during this time, however, they have already managed to feed hundreds of families.

Nakhlistan public relations officer Fatima Allie said the organisations have partnered in this project, to reach more Palestinians. While the Israeli offensive in Gaza continues, thousands of Palestinians are internally displaced and have little to no access to clean water or sanitation.

This has already become a global crisis as humanitarian organisations are aimlessly working towards getting into the country, to assist Palestinians. Allie said the organisations have officials in the area and were able to get the food parcels to them and so, families could enjoy iftaar.

“This Ramadan we have managed to run two food campaigns, one at the beginning of Ramadan before the conflict broke out and a second campaign during the current invasion and massacre of Gaza,” Allie explained.

Allie further called on the community in South Africa to assist in this project by donating what they can toward the feeding scheme.

Money can de deposited into Nakhlistan’s Absa account, account no: 6304846845, under depositors name and “For Palestine” in brackets.
