Madina Institute to launch new peace centre

Madina Institute South Africa will soon launch the Centre for Non Violence and Peace in partnership with the University of Pretoria next week. The launch will coincide with a peace symposium aimed at discussing the foundational Islamic principle of non-violence.

Speakers include: Shaykh Muhammad bin Yahyah Al Ninowy, former MJC president Maulana Ihsaan Hendricks and former US ambassador Ebrahim Rasool.

Dr Shaykh Muhammad Bin Yahya Al Ninowy hails from Aleppo but has been living in the United States for the past 30 years. Shaykh Ninowy is fortunate to have been traditionally schooled in the Islamic Sciences and specializing in the Fields of Aqeedah ; Hadith and Usul as well as being a medical doctor.

He is the founder of the Madina Seminaries all over the world as well as the Planet Mercy Centers of Hope, Growth and Opportunity for all.

He is amongst the foremost advocates of spreading the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and propagates the motto of “love towards all” throughout his extensive lecture tours around the globe.

He firmly believes that violence is the language of the inarticulate and is the author of many books amongst them: Non Violence: A Fundamental Islamic Principle; Sufism , Salafism and the Phenomenon of Al Qaeda/ISIS; unconditional Compassion and Love : The Core of Faith; Post-Terrorism Disorder Affecting Muslim Minorities in the West : Implications , Diagnosis and Coping : A Manual.

The launch takes place at Century City Convention Centre on Wednesday 24 August 2016 at 7:30 for 8pm sharp.
