The Department of Basic Education has given the assurance that this year’s matric exams will be error-free and with no irregularities.
The 2014 matric examinations across seven provinces were riddled with group cheating and copying.
The examinations will start on October 26.
Speaking on AM Live, the Chief Director of Communications at the Department of Basic Education, Elijah Mhlanga says, “We took time last year and early this year to check what it is that the exam centres didn’t have that we had to put in place.”
“So we have been going to all the provinces to make sure we put those things in place, we have also been focusing on the storage processes.”
