MTN on Monday informed its customers that the network was experiencing some technical difficulties.
“We are currently experiencing intermittent connection issues affecting some customers. Our engineers are working on resolving this asap,” the network said on its Twitter account.
The network’s official site showed that the majority of problems reported on Monday were about mobile internet usage.
Frustrated users took to Twitter, posting that they had had problems from the weekend. Others asked when the issues would be resolved, but MTN had no definite answer.
“Unfortunately we await feedback from our technical team who are urgently working to fix it asap. We will notify you,” the company replied.
While MTN tried to reassure its customers that it was dealing with the problem, others threatened to dump the network, saying they had experienced losses in their mobile data without any explanation.
“@MTNza My connection has been problematic all day 🙁 Its hugely disruptive! I think porting would be the best solution for me..,” one person tweeted.[Source: News24]
