A Palestinian suspect stabbed four Israelis, including a soldier, in Tel Aviv on Thursday, Israeli police and the army reported, with the attacker shot dead at the scene.
An Israeli police spokesperson said police units responded to a stabbing attack in Tel Aviv which injured four Israelis.
“A “terrorist” was shot and killed at the scene and the victims were taken to hospital for treatment, with one moderately wounded.”
Israeli media reported that the attacker attempted to seize the soldier’s weapon and stabbed passersby while fleeing with a screwdriver.
Earlier, a Palestinian suspect was detained after an Israeli man was stabbed and injured Thursday near a main road in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, Israeli police said.
Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld told Ma’an the Palestinian suspect was apprehended and the Israeli man was left in serious condition.
Israeli media reported that the victim, a 25-year-old Haredi man, was taken for treatment at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
The suspect was identified as Subhi Ibrahim Abu Khalifeh, 19. MAANNEWS
