The Polokwane Magistrate’s Court has again postponed a decision on the bail application of Limpopo businessman Rameez Patel, pending the evidence of key state witnesses.
Patel was arrested on a separate murder charge two months after he was released on bail after being charged with murdering his wife Fatima on April 10.
Patel’s second murder charge is linked to the death of Tony Adams, who was beaten to death with a stick in 2013.
It is alleged that Adams tried to break into Patel parents’ home.
But Patel told the court that Adams was beaten by a mob instead. He did, however, confirm that he visited the scene of the crime. News24
