A R100 000 reward has been offered to help nab cop-killers in the Western Cape, the provincial community safety MEC, Dan Plato, said on Sunday.

“In the past week, three police officers have lost their lives, some even while responding to the needs of the community they serve while on duty,” said Plato.

He said the reward was now being offered to anyone with information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the killers.

“Though no reward will bring back the fallen officers to their loved ones, I sincerely hope that anyone with credible information on the incidents will do the right thing.”

He said those responsible where nevertheless “someone’s child, someone’s sibling or someone’s neighbour” and it was these people who needed to “break their silence” and assist police.

Any information should be reported to the SAPS Crime Stop number on 0861 10111.
