ANC Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is adamant that his recent sex scandal will not deter him from contesting the governing party’s top position.
The ANC presidential hopeful was addressing ANC branches in Randfontein on the West Rand, which has made it clear that they wanted Ramaphosa to lead the party as they head for the elective conference.
On Sunday a Sunday Newspaper, released emails alleging that Ramaphosa was involved in extra-marital affairs with eight young women.
Ramaphosa says the ruling party is experiencing a repeat of what happened ahead of the 2007 elective conference, when state resources were used to discredit members.
Ramaphosa says if these tactics are being used again, they will spell the end of the organisation.
