Shukrul Mubeen hosts international Qaris


Capetonians are in for a treat this weekend as the Mother City welcomes top class Quranic reciters. The Shukrul Mubeen Masjid will be hosting the international Qira program on Friday 29th of April after Maghrib.

World renowned reciters from Egypt and Cape Town will take to the platform to recite from the Holy Quran. They include Qari Shaykh Hajaj Ramadan Hindawi from Egypt and Qari Shaykh Saleem Gaibie from Cape Town, amongst others.

“Having witnessed many major events in its over 80 years since establishment, the committee and imamat takes great honour in earmarking this event as a highlight, for both the residents and regular musalees and the community of cape town,” said the masjid in a statement.

The Imamat also intends to use this program to build momentum as they count down to the auspicious and important month of ramadan.

Special preparations have been made to accommodate the crowd that is expected and the public is urged to arrive from at least 17:30.

Qari Sheikh Reda Juma Mansour (Egypt), Ustadh Ehab Mohammad Famey (Egypt), Qari Sheikh Mohammad Ayyab Asif (Egypt/Uk), Qari Sheikh Mohammad Ismaeel Asif (Egypt/UK), Qari Sheikh Ebrahim Asif (Egypt/UK), Qari Shaikh Yahya Sharqawi (Egypt).
