Simbine who is a sub-10 second 100m runner took over the baton from Munyai, in a dramatic catchup of three meters down on Brazil’s Paulo Andre Camila de Oliviera he snatched the victory on the line by a hundredth of a second at 38.71 seconds. The official results release later has stated that Brazil was disqualified, Italy was then presented with the silver medal at 39.21 seconds and Japan takes third and bronze at 39.42 seconds.
