Three people have been arrested for the brutal murder of teenager Franziska Blöchliger in Tokai Forest this week, police confirmed on Wednesday.
“Three suspects between the ages of 22 and 27 are being detained for questioning in connection with the murder of Franziska Blöchliger after their arrest last night,” said Western Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut.
“The circumstances surrounding the case are still under investigation and no further information can be released at this stage.”
Franziska’s parents, Florian and Shireen Blöchliger, offered a reward of up to R50 000 for any information leading up to the arrest of the person responsible for her murder, it emerged on Tuesday.
Hundreds of people attended a vigil for her in Tokai Forest on Tuesday night.
