The Muslim Judicial Council (MJC), Al Quds Foundation South Africa and National Coalition for Palestine (NC4P) will be hosting a mass rally at the Darul Islam Boys Campus on Wednesday, as part of its welcome to a visiting delegation of high-ranking Hamas officials. The delegation includes the group’s head of political bureau, Khaled Meshaal who will also serve as keynote speaker.

In light of a recent escalation in violence in the occupied Palestinian territories, the respective organisers have called on members of the public to show their support by attending the gathering.

Cosatu has confirmed that train services will be made available free of charge to those travelling to the rally. The event starts promptly at 11am and will run until 2pm.
