In yet another exciting project to empower our community, VOC has launched the Voice of the Cape Wallet – a simple, easy and secure way to make payments with your mobile phone to your favourite local businesses. This ‘digital wallet’, which works through a mobile payment app, opens you to a world of savings with listed local and halal businesses. Your payment information is stored safely on the app for easy purchases that earns you up to 10% of discounts.
There are over 2 billion smartphone users worldwide. Many people keep their smartphones with them wherever they go, making e-wallets a convenient way to pay.

If you’re in the store that is listed on the Voice of the Cape wallet, you log in to the app for a quick online payment. The application is safe and ensures the safety of both the store and Voice of the Cape wallet user with a special set pin for his or her own use.
It only takes a few minutes to set up. Simply download the app on Playstore and follow onscreen instructions to set up your account and add your payment details.

“This is a call to all local traders, businesses, vendors and service providers – here is the platform you want to get your business on,” said station management.

Recently, The Voice of the Cape launched an initiative granting the opportunity for small to medium businesses to send us their business details with a national appeal to reinvesting in our community and creating a stronger platform for halal trade, halal goods and the need to uplift our hard-working community. More and more retailers are using a mobile payment solution that allows them to accept e-wallets.

The Voice of the Cape has ventured to take reinvestment into the community to the next level by going digital. This app enables a business directory that may serve as an umbrella of big and small halal trade.

Your money and personal details are safe when you use the Voice of the Cape wallet. You will need to enter a password, or other verification details, any time you wish to view or change account information. This is far safer than walking around with cash and cards in your pocket.

When you make a payment, the retailer doesn’t receive your card details. Instead, a pin number is used. This means your data is safe from fraud. In addition, if you ever lose your phone, you don’t need to worry about a thing, since the Voice of the Cape Wallet is password-locked.

Like other mobile payment methods, the Voice of the Cape wallet payment is almost instantaneous, requiring just a simple login and a few clicks on your phone. Once payment has been made, the transaction is automatically recorded for later viewing.

Because all your card details are already stored in the Voice of the Cape wallet, you won’t have to fill in lengthy payment details.
