With the cost of living becoming increasingly challenging for South African consumers, VOC this week launched a new show to empower consumers to take charge of their money. Simply called ‘The Moola Show’, the programme is all about money and how your money can work for you. The show is presented by financial expert Khalil Sungay and aims to debunk the myths around money issues. The Moola Show airs every Tuesday evening at 8pm.

“Many people live from salary to salary and literally count out their last few cents by the last week before pay day. Savings is never considered of and when it comes to a rainy day or even pension age, there is nothing to sustain the person or family. So this show will help you plan your finances, with practical tips and make you understand what investments and the stock market is all about. In the same breathe, we also include the entrepreneur, the business executive and professionals in the industry,” said VOC programme manager Mishka Daries.

Sungay has years of experience in the finance sector, especially in dealing with halal investments. Halal investments have taken the global economy by storm and its imperative that Muslims understand its significance.

“VOC has been waiting on a show of this nature for a few years. Finally, with the right presenter who has the wisdom and understanding of personal finance and the economy, we can deliver this programme.”

Taking the form of a magazine style show, Sungay will be dealing with issues of personal finance, from how to find the best financial advisor for you, how to put together a budget and how to invest your money in the JSE. His team of expert guests will provide insights into the bigwigs of the financial industry and how they have created and grown their business to become leaders in SA.

They will also deliver the latest market reports, analyse the biggest stories in the business world and most importantly answer any questions listeners may have,” added Daries.

Listeners are welcome to contact VOC on 021 442 3530 during the show, sms on 47913 or email Khalil@vocfm.co.za all questions ahead of the show. VOC
