A woman was airlifted from Table Mountain in Cape Town after suffering heatstroke on Thursday.
She is in a critical condition.
According to ER24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing, rescue technicians from Metro Rescue went to where the 60-year-old woman was and SkyMed was dispatched to airlift the patient.
“Upon their arrival, they found that the woman was in a critical condition.”
The woman was treated, stabilised and airlifted back down, where she was handed over to ER24 paramedics.
The paramedics treated and transported her to hospital. News24
