President Jacob Zuma was tickled on Wednesday when he heard an isicathamiya group from the New Prison Correctional Services in Pietermaritzburg singing a song dedicated to him.

The group of prisoners, who were neatly dressed in festive colours, performed at a Christmas party organised for the elderly at the Savannah Park Sports Grounds near Chatsworth.

The president giggled as the men sang, “Helen Zille and Mmusi Maimane, leave Nxamalala alone. Stop asking Zuma about his multi-million rand house in Nkandla.

“You, Malema, must stop disrespecting the elderly.

“You our mother Public Protector Thuli Madonsela, need to protect the President.

“You Malema, need to stop bothering Zuma.”

The elderly were equally amused with some ululating while others took out their phones and recorded the moment. News24
