Police have arrested 86 people and seized counterfeit goods with an estimated street value of R150 000 at the Cape Town Station Deck this weekend, they said on Sunday.
This was part of Operation Fiela in the province, Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said in a statement.
Among those arrested, 81 were undocumented foreign nationals.
One person was arrested for the possession of dagga, another for an outstanding warrant of arrest and three others for being in possession of counterfeit clothing and handbags.
A taxi was impounded and a substantial amount of dagga was also recovered during the operation on Saturday, she said.
The operation was a joint effort by police, traffic and metro officers as well as members of the SA National Defence Force. News24
