The Pretoria Magistrate’s Courts on Wednesday postponed the case against three men accused of the brazen break-in and theft of R17 million in foreign currency from the State Security Agency headquarters in Pretoria for further investigations.
Khayalethu Mgatyelwa, William Mmotong and Albert Ramabele will appear in court again on June 1.
The matter has been referred to trial court C where the accused are expected to plead when they appear again.
It is alleged they gained access to the State Security Agency’s (SSA’s) headquarters in Pretoria on December 27 last year and stole the money.
The break-in is believed to have been an inside job as Mgatyelwa and Mmotong are employees of the agency.
Members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) arrested the accused separately.
