Seven people have sustained gunshot wounds after gunmen opened fire on a group of people at Thembalethu near George in the Southern Cape. Police spokesperson, Malcolm Pojie, says they’ve launched a 72 hour activation plan with specialised units.

” Preliminary investigations suggest that the group of seven were braaing outside a yard just after 7 when unknown gunmen stopped and started shooting at them. It appears all 7 were hit. Police have recovered a firearm that might have been used in the shooting. The firearm was confiscated together with several spent cartridges that were recovered on scene.”
