Agang SA withdrew a motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma during a sitting of the National Assembly on Tuesday.

The party did not want National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete to preside over the debate.

Last week, the Western Cape High Court dismissed an urgent application lodged by Agang SA to postpone the scheduling of the motion.

The party took the matter to court demanding Mbete not preside over it. SAPA
