Picket calls on ANC NEC to put brakes on JZ’s presidency

A group of anti-Zuptas  demonstrated outside the African National Congress (ANC)’s national executive committee (NEC) meeting, and the organiser Ronald Lamola says in an attempt to have the NEC to put the brakes on Jacob Zuma’s presidency.

“This is the last opportunity for ANC NEC to act against Zuma,” says Lamola.

He adds that although the NEC meetings were in its second day of discussions he does not believe that protest action is premature.

Lamola mentioned the NEC losing its legitimacy if they fail to act.

The economy and local government elections are set to take centre stage and the party’s Gwede Mantashe says they are prepared for a debate on the alleged influence of the Gupta family.SABC
