Cape Town Mayor Patricia De Lille has offered a R25 000 reward for information to help find a missing Hanover Park girl.  It has been 11 days since six-year-old Shasha Lee November went missing, after she was last seen playing in Groenal Walk in Hanover Park on 3 May 2015.

“My heart goes out to the mother and family of this young girl and I would like to add to her appeal for anyone who knows about her whereabouts to please come forward with information that will lead to the safe return of Shasha Lee,” said De Lille.

“As a mother, I cannot imagine the trauma that her family must be going through and would like to send my support to the family. The community, police and other safety and security agencies have been searching for Shasha Lee for more than a week. It is my hope that we can find this little girl soon and return her safely to her family.”

A door-to-door campaign was launched last Tuesday as searches through the streets of Hanover Park proved fruitless.

De Lille said she hoped the reward for any information would lead to finding Shasha Lee and to the arrest and conviction of the guilty parties.

“I would like to appeal to residents to come forward with any information pertaining to her whereabouts so that we can find this young girl.”

Anyone with information can contact Constable Keith Wakefield on 083 4714 716 or 021 376 9850, Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or alternatively send an SMS to CrimeLine on 321111.
