South Africa has recorded 1 931 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The majority of new cases are from Gauteng with 26%, followed by the Western Cape with 20% and KwaZulu-Natal accounted for 19%. There has been an increase of 26 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours. A further 17 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported taking the total to 94 177 to date. The country’s recovery rate is current at 95.3%.
