A 36-year-old woman was arrested at the Cape Town International Airport for the possession of cocaine on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said in a statement that cocaine with an estimated street value of R300 000 was found in the woman’s luggage, stashed inside a Salticrax box.
She said the woman was arrested by the Border Police anti-smuggling team just after she arrived from Johannesburg.
The woman was expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on charges relating to drug possession, said Rwexana. News24
