Alleged Century City serial killer Kahangayi Sedumedi is expected to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Sedumeni was charged with three counts of murder and two of rape.
This is in addition to the three rape, two murder and two robbery charges that he already faces.
He was arrested in January after the naked bodies of six women were discovered lying face down with their hands tied behind their backs.
The victims, who were between the ages of 20 and 32, were all found in a field along Acre Road near the Century City train station.
The body of another woman was also found at the same site.
According to the Cape Argus, the National Prosecuting Authority claimed he was linked to some of the murders through his DNA.
The court reportedly heard in May that the case will, at a later stage, move to the Western Cape High Court.
Prosecutor Mario September reportedly asked for a postponement at the time to investigate the case further. News24
