The South African Health department has reported 3 648 new COVID-19 cases have been identified in South Africa.

This increase represents an eight-point-three percent positivity rate. A further 173 deaths have been reported bringing the total to 85 952 deaths.

Over 2.7 million people have recovered, putting the recovery rate at 94.4 percent.
