South Africa has recorded 1 366 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The majority of new cases are from Gauteng with 41%, followed by the Western Cape with 14% and Kwa-Zulu Natal accounting for 13%. There has been an increase of 63 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours. A further 14 fatalities have been recorded, taking the total since the pandemic started to 95 093 to date. Four-thousand-742 vaccines were administered in the country in the last 24 hours. South Africa’s recovery rate remains stable at over 95%.
