The National Hifdh Al Quran Competition was successfully concluded on Saturday at Masjid al Fath in Ottery. This is an annual competition co hosted by the MJC Department of Quranic Affairs and the Rabita International Organisation for the Memorisation of the Holy Quran based in Saudi Arabia.

The winners of the Full Quran category:
1st: Faried Nagia, CPT
2nd: Zakaria Mohammed, GP
3rd: Thakier Salie, CPT

The prizes were awarded to the winners in the presence of Shaykh M Amien Fakier, the president of the Imaarah of MJC and who is a Board member of Rabita Alam Al Islami; Shaykh Ihsan Taliep president of UUCSA, Shaykh Riad Fataar, first deputy President of MJC and Shaykh Abdul Aziz Khamis, the director of Rabita Southern African Region.
