South Africa has administered a total of 68 662 Covid-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours, as 3 699 new cases have been recorded. The majority of new cases are from Gauteng with 36%t, followed by the Western Cape with 17% and KwaZulu-Natal accounting for 12%. There has been an increase of 78 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours. A further seven Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing the total fatalities to 97 520. The country’s recovery rate remains at over 96%.
